** spoiler alert ** I don't compose the greatest reviews by any means, but i have decided to give it a try. Brave New World was a great book to read. The technique used to control and keep people from having critical thoughts were very interesting, and in some ways can be compared to the mass media and mass entertainment that we are exposed to in our daily lives. The characters in the story when born are divided into 5 different caste groups, Alphas- live lavish liefs styles and don't have to work that hard, Betas- have semi-lavish liefs and are servants to the Alphas. Deltas, Gammas and Epsilons are dysfunctional mindless slaves that work highly physical and low intellectual jobs because they are conditioned to be this way. The main character Bernard is an outcast in his group(hes and Alpha) because of his short and slender stature people question if hes and Alpha at all.
