Assassination Vacation is a non-fiction book in which the author goes on a road trip (often with her sister and young nephew) to visit famous sites related to the assassination of Presidents Lincoln, McKinley and Garfield. She mixes history with wit and does do a good job of making a rather dry subject more interesting. I did feel that the story could have been told in fewer pages and was also frustrated by the lengthy chapters. I felt versed in the facts surrounding Lincoln's assassination but found I knew little about McKinley's and Garfield's until Sarah provided the stories. An interesting read...
