I think I'll start with, I didn't hate this.

This is my first straight up Green Lantern comic that I've read written by Geoff Johns who penned the amazing Blackest Night/Brightest Day events.

After Blackest Night, I found I enjoyed Green Lantern and Co. a bit more than I expected, so when a friend gave me this as a recommendation...I took it.

I don't know that enjoy Green Lantern as much when reading just GL. I suppose I get why he has a fan base and this was a well-written story that was mostly accessible despite my being new to the franchise.

I was a bit put off by the way Geoff Johns wrote Batman and the inter-dynamics of the Justice League. At this point, I've seen it nailed a couple times and so I was a little disappointed with what I felt was a misstep with JL writing, specifically Batman, who is my favie so I likely took it a bit personally.

The story was a clever re-introduction of Hal Jordan although there are some aspects of the outline that I would have liked to have seen in the comic, but oh well.
