I know a lot of people are going to disagree with the rating but you have to admit, it was a great book. I mean there were times when my heart was breaking for poor Verity and isn't that the point of a good book? To make you feel? I've read a lot of reviews on this book and am I inclined to agree that at times, it is too repetitive and the communication issues just seems overworked but when you think about it, at that time women were not taught to be fierce and independent. They relied on the male in the household to survive so Verity's actions do have some logical thought.
One thing that I found hard to believe was the amount of times she let him back in! I was thinking are you kidding me woman? But I'm a sucker for these kick-me-when-I'm-down stories, I shouldn't be but they are my guilty pleasure aahahaha :D
