Just when I think I have checked out every Picoult book that the AKL central library stocks, one appears in the recently returned shelf! Yay! This one I would put kind of middle of the road compared to some of the others I read. Lawyer Women has distant relatives who are Amish and she gets roped into defending a case where one of the women kills her baby. First things first, I nearly totally called who really killed the baby! I originally thought it was one person and then about half way through I changed my mind and the person I changed my mind to totally did it! I love it when I can call it. Anyway, this book was sort of okay. I am interested in Amish people, but some of the things they did, were kind of contradictory of themselves and while I have never met any, so I can’t be too sure that this would happen, some parts defiantly contradicted themselves to make the book and story flow better and so things could work out. Not her worst book, but I could name two of her other books that I liked better. I would put this one somewhere in the middle.
