Full thrill ride. Enjoyed the witch trials angle of the story & the founding of our country. Very original & inventive. Hopefully will get others interested in the history that was presented in the book. Reminded me of the movie National Treasures & cache hunting.
Con: a few mistakes with storyline over the series. Favorite typo "Caitlin smiles and turns to Caitlin." She had a clone for a second!
Why do authors subject us to instant love? Geesh! I know it's YA, but it gives us females a bad rep! But then again Sam is in instant luv with Samantha. Oh, he's a man, so maybe instant lust. Note to Author: let love grow & flow. This just felt forced. How about some friendship & trust? There was way too much of Caitlin worrying about Caleb & feelings, while he is aloof and uncaring. A kiss would b a nice surprise but ruined since C. thought it 2 paragraphs per page! Then he is all about protecting her humanity. Strange since she is already a killing bloodsucker!
I would have gave 5 ***** if there was less love crazed siblings & more true relationship growth. The typos were funny & gave me a laugh, unrealistic love felt over used & grated on my nerves!
