This book was a freebie that I found on Pixel of Ink. The writing in this book was strong. The POV of the man character was strong and believable. DuBois deftly captures the oppressive feel of an abusive home life. I couldn't put this book down.

Why am I giving it two stars?

Cos the ending creeped me out. It smacked of Flowers in the Attic. So if you love that series you'll eat this up. This is not for me!

Tammy I agree with you, the ending did remind me of Flowers in the Attic and we all know how that series ended.
