I read this book in two sittings, and that's what drives my rating. The second in Moody's Haters trilogy, Dog Blood picks up shortly after Haters' conclusion. As in the previous book, Moody's writing is tightly edited and engaging. But I liked this book more than the first. In Dog Blood, Moody seems to really hit his stride and is telling the story he wants to tell. The tone and the pacing are pitch-perfect as the World spins out of control for Moody's characters. Sometimes a little over the top, the violence is never gratuitous. I want to know what happens next!
