bookshelves: speculative-fiction, abandoned-not-finished

Meh for about 150 pages. The first bit had promise. Kept on waiting for it to get good, and when it didn't, I just gave up. I excepted my 50-page limit for this book, in hopes that it would get better...

Redheadeb It takes me back to high school too, but I confess I really liked it then. It was a looonnnggg time ago, though; perhaps as an adult I wouldn't have the patience either. I do recall the payoff does come pretty late in the book ...
