Let me say what I DON'T like from this story first. Luna, the heroine, irritates the HELL out of me. Sure, I find tough sarcastic heroines before but Luna's temper issues is just too much. I know that it is because she is a were, but my GOD, she is so quick in losing her temper and judging other people. I just want to enroll her to an anger management class or something. I wish the author realizes that being a BITCH doesn't mean the same as being tough.

Oh, and as much as Dmitri seems well, hot, I'm not really into that guy as the love interest. The only two people I love in this book so far are Luna's Lieutenant, Mac, and the head of the CSU tech, Pete. I wonder how these two guys survive Luna. I really hope that Luna will keep her temper check soon, because it's hard to keep reading a series if all I want is to knock some sense into the main characters.

Having said that, this is a plain good ol' crime solving. The supernatural element adds the nuance but it doesn't clutter it as much, you know? Sure there are weres and witches, but I think the heart of the story is a police procedural and murder investigation. Also, the idea that Luna is having some sort of magic power in her, one that she has never known before, is pretty intriguing. I wonder if the demon Asmodeus will stay around ...

So I will still pick up book three. I just need to do some Zen moves to prepare myself for another Luna's temper issues.
