This was an absolute joy to read. I always wondered what Carrie's life was like before she arrived in NYC, and I now I know! Bushnell always cracks me up with her style of writing, and the way she narrates Carrie's life has great hilarity. I love the way she makes Carrie appear so vivid--like a girl I'd want to be friends with if I were in high school. The other characters in the book really stand out, particularly Lali, the schemeing best friend, and The Mouse, the witty brain child. No wonder Carrie writes the way she did in the TV series--she had many experiences to draw from her past!

Giselle Even if you don't really like this one, read the sequel it's much better and the other SATC characters are there.
