This is a free book from the Goodreads First Reads giveaways.
This book is a "coconut inspired" story about a girl growing up in Dominica, a Carribean Island, under her father's abuses through her marriage to a much older man. I enjoyed the flavor of another culture sprinkled throughout the chapters.
