Yes, at the beginning, The Folk Keeper totally doesn't make sense but if you can get through the first 100 pages, you're in for a treat.

The feel of the book is somewhat...archaic probably because it's a take on Irish (?) folklore. I really loved the part where they revealed that (view spoiler) I also totally enjoyed the (view spoiler)

Also, this is one of the books I wished I read as a kid (or at least, read it during high school).

I only gave this 3 stars because it leaves a lot to be desired (even though I found the entire story enchanting).
