really liked it
bookshelves: adult-fiction, adult-historical-fiction, adult-mystery
Read from April 21 to 24, 2012

I actually read this book. I never have time for such unproductive activity any more but my book club was reading it and my library had no audio versions. I was worried. Could I sit down and actually read a book? I have tried it before and not succeeded. I need not have worried. The Forgotten Garden pulled me into its world of mystery and history and fairy tale magic. The characters, the essential women of the story pulled me in and I read and read and now that it is over I am sad that I have nothing else like it to read. It is intersting and hopeful to me first that I can do it and then that there are books out there still that I can enjoy even when I am not driving or walking or...all the things you do when you listen to books all the time. It is books like this that made me a reader in the first place, I am glad that they are still out there...

Jenny All her books are good. I think I liked House at Riverton nearly as much as Forgotten Garden. Sadly, you will have to physically read them all as well.
