This book has a bad case of multiple personalities. It's so divided I've shelved it as both fiction and nonfiction. Chapters alternate between genuine memoir and odd bits of McSweeny's-esque ficion. The memoir chapters I would gladly give four or five stars to. Well written, and fun to read. The fictions sections, however, were not so good. A long list of fake wines, descriptions from an imaginary greeting card company, and punch-up notes for an imaginary movie are just some of the fiction chapters within. I personally didn't care for them, though fans of McSweeny's or similar forums may enjoy them.
