Against All Enemies (Max Moore, #1)
by Tom Clancy, Peter Telep
by Tom Clancy, Peter Telep
A pretty good collaboration from Clancy and Leper, Although it seems that Clancy isn't able to bring the suspense like he did when writing about the espionage game between the US and Soviet Russia. Clancy's strong point was blending technical realism with believable characters, unfortunately either i've become a bit to jaded/critical or he doesn't have the access to the technical specs like he used to. Also, i found the development of the Moore character to be disjointed, the other action protagonists that he's written about, Clark and Dingo were pretty well developed, Moore seems to be just thrown into the mix, is he going to be the next Clark? While i do think it would be difficult to put the war on terror into a single novel context with this story of Moore, if anyone could have done it, it may have been Clancy, unfortunately he may have bit off a bit more than he could chew, blending the ME and SA could have really gone somewhere but this single novel format just didnt seem like it had the room to do so.
