Nick Hornby is one of my favourite writers, he has a unique style and creates absorbing characters.
This book is really about 'misfits' and them helping each other to find their way back into balance with the world, its a fantastic book and well worth a read.
(oh and if you prefer to watch things rather than read them the film is pretty good also and for once a fairly accurate representation of the book)
