Samanatha Sweeney is a disgraced lawyer who finds herself accidently applying for and then accepting a position of housekeeper in a small English village. The problem is Samantha has never cooked a meal or cleaned a home in her life.
At first I thought I wasn't going to like this book much. The situations do seem a bit contrieved - in cases where Samantha just misses being caught as the fraud. And I think the editing could have been better. Probably this is because I'm listening to the audio book and so can't skip the extraneous details.
But now I'm caught up in the story and it is entertaining and fun. Definietly chick-lit though. I was torn between 3 and 4 and wish there was a 3.5 but decided to go with the 3.

Jenny Sounds like a fun book!

Susan It was. The only problem I had with it was that the voice of the reader on the audio tape didn't match my vision of a 29 year old. But other than that it was a fun 'read'.
