This was fun. I liked the White House chef premise because it was different, and I do like to cook. There was occasionally an awkward sentence (i.e., the most important part of preparing for a state dinner is the preparation), and the author got some of her D.C. details wrong (its not called the Washington Memorial, it would take a whole lot longer than 10 minutes to walk from the White House to the Smithsonian Castle, etc.). Still, it kept me interested and the answer to the mystery was not obvious. I'll read the next one.
