really liked it

I liked the characters, who were quite distinct from the couple in the first novel (some authors don't know how to write different people, so I applaud that). And then there is Endell. Absolutely excellent. I love her. Though I wasn't enthused by this character in book one, I'm now a serious believer. Endell has nothing feminine that one would expect. She's all hard edges, poor manners, and unapologetic vulgarity. And somehow, she remains endearing. Wow.

My only problem with this book is the fact that this couple had the same core emotional issues as Kerrick and Allison from book 1. Not cool.

And another thing I love about this series - the underlying conflict plot has such interesting characters and there are actual twists and turns. Nothing major mind you, but still very interesting.

In total, love it. Looking forward to book 3.
