During my annual review my supervisor suggested I read this book. Normally I wouldn't have read anything like this. Frankly I thought it was a book on retirement (golden parachute's are things retiring businessmen get). It was an ok book. I've heard that its a life changer for some. Not for me. I learned alot of things that I need to do when looking for a job that I didn't do when I got hired at the library. Really I'm shocked I got hired, I didn't do anything the guy said. I must have blown the committee away with my awesomeness. Where the book was really great is in the "what I want to do in the future" section. It had quite a few tools (most online) that will help you figure out what you want to do when you grow up. My only fault about the book is that the author was way too preachy about his faith. The back quarter of the book took a hard left and veered onto a tangent that totally turned me off. I skimmed the rest of the book. All in all I suggest this book though.
