The main character does not read like a teenager--She reads more like a 40 year old, crotchety, know-it-all. The dialogue is hopelessly repetitive. If the author didn't repeat herself so damn much, this book would be much shorter.

This author does too much telling. Rather than writing about the events as they are unfolding, and staying in the moment, she wastes a lot of time on the character's inner-monologue, her fragile feelings, and things Dru's Gram used to do when she was little.

I didn't enjoy this audio-book much, but I did like the 2 male characters--They seemed interesting and I wanted to know more about them. I hate to admit it, but I do wanna know what happens in the other books. I can't help it--It's a weakness of mine. No matter how much the book sucks, I just need to know what happens next. I'll probably just save myself the time and grief, and just read the spoilers on the internet :)
