This book was written by the same author as Outsiders, which I really enjoyed. This book starts out with two teenage children named Mark and Byron. They are best of friends and Byron's parents take him in to live with them after the death of his parents. As they grow up together, they start to separate from each other little every day. It starts when Mark has a relationship with a girl named Cathy. when this happens, they spend less and less time with each other. Another thing is, Byron finds out that Mark has been selling drugs, which is how he is making all of his money. At the end, byron is stuck in a major decision, whether to report Mark or not.
THis book depicts gang life and about friendship. It is full of action, which can be enjoyable to few, but also conveys the true day to day lives of some teenagers. I would definately reccomend others to read this book.
