Madeline wasn’t always up to no good.

In the first installment of what became a series, Madeline is presented to us as the smallest and most outgoing of the school. Presented in a rhyme, with a small line of the story on each page, Madeline’s story about her emergency is told. The pictures which dominate the page present us a variety of spots in Paris, which Madeline visits with her teacher.

Paris inspires and delights as the city of light and the home of the language of love, and Madeline story begins and leaves the audience curious about what could happen in the beautiful city to a smart little girl.
