liked it
bookshelves: paranormal-romance
Read from June 15 to 17, 2011

The most intriguing thing about this book is that at the centre of everything is a sentient building....called the Castle
Created by strong magic to house the supernatural villians - hidden away from human eyes. It looks like a building called the Empire Hotel
and it repels normal humans

but something is wrong
the castle used to be light and filled with gardens and sunshine but it is dark and crumbling and the lower levels are collapsing

the catle has existed for many centuries

Everyone who stays in the castle never has to eat

There is plenty of aggression though
people get killed all the time
guards are the worst

everyone living in the house is afraid of them

(view spoiler)
obvious that the vampire slayer Ashe and the captain of the guard are going to be the focus of book 3
should try to find book 1 (the witch and the vampire)
Lots to take in and half way through the book I was a little overwelmed by the amount of information and story lines, but I 'soldiered on' :)
