Wendy This looks good Jennifer! I just added it too :-)

Jennifer Abdo I think the author was on Diane Rehm's Show to promote it and I've wanted to read it ever since. And I finished those two by Azar Nafisi, so why not stay in Iran? :) I thought the concept I think it was Azar brought up that the generation gap in Iran is also a cultural one and makes for complicated relationships was very intriguing.

Wendy You might also enjoy Lipstick Jihad: A Memoir of Growing up Iranian in America and American in Iran which is along similar lines. I haven't read her newer one yet (Honeymoon in Tehran: Two Years of Love and Danger in Iran) but hope to get to it at some point soon. Laughing Without an Accent: Adventures of an Iranian American, at Home and Abroad and Funny In Farsi: A Memoir Of Growing Up Iranian In America are two others I also want to read.

And hey, if all else fails, the second season of Shah's of Sunset is bound to be awesome, right? ;-)
