Everyone who said this one was better than the first was correct. It was better written, more interesting, a little less campy, and it was longer :)

I'll be honest, though, I like Rick Castle much better than Jameson Rook, even if Rook does get the girl. I'm not sure why they wrote Rook this way, but he's coming off just a bit less charming than either Nathan Fillion or Richard Castle.

I do like the way these books read like an episode of the show, and they are a fun break to more serious reading. The meta factor wasn't so crazy/confusing on this one now that I have the first one behind me.

Last, I didn't get the coyote part of the story. At all. Otherwise, fun.

Rebekkila I had no idea that the books on the show Castle were real books. I love that show, I will have to check out these books.


Antof9 I didn't for a long time but I think I learned that they were real here, too!
