Hazel is just your ordinary high school girl but she wants to be so much more. When Sylvia, one of the Pretty Little Devils (PLDs), asks her to join their group, she feels her life is going to change. Along with her new friends, Hazel gets an instant after school babysitting job, a new phone, and the boy of her dreams, Matty Vardeman. Little did Hazel know how controling the PLDs were, their love of horror movies and pranks, or that being the most popular sometimes means being the most hated.

After strange text messages and phone calls, people start turning up dead and no one is above suspicion.

This book is definitely more for high school readers instead of middle school. It is the book version of Mean Girls. The murderer is revealed in the end, but it is just dropped in your lap and not really explained.
