Hmm. I don't quite know how to evaluate this one. I feel like it had a lot of flaws, and yet... I don't know, there's just something really, really resonant about it. Somehow it just strikes a deep chord. I enjoyed it very much, and will be buying the second book.

Neveth I love this book. Always been sad the sequel never got translated.

Oh, but it did! Just this year, apparently. It's on Amazon. Although I'm getting this from the library and they of course only have the first, so sadface. (And they have the old version from the 90s... It isn't nearly as gorgeous as the Viz edition.)

Btw, does this book have illustrations? I don't think the one at the library does...
