A Time to Kill is one of my all time favorite Grisham books. At times, the author rambled a bit, but over all, I was very pleased with the writing style.

Listening to the book made it come alive for me as the man who read it for the Talking Book program has a voice that is so engaging. I couldn't stop listening!

The plot, with its many subplots, forces individuals to confront many of the tough issues of race and morality in today's society. It seems that in the way the book is written, Grisham wants his readers to think about these issues and put themselves into the position of the main character. Reading this book also gives one insight into a part of the country that often is not portrayed in today's media.

I would highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a good read and a book that has a solid message to take away from it.
