The 99 cent price tag is what lured me in. It is the story of three sisters, an alcoholic father, sailboat races and a secret or two. Set in the Pacific Northwest, the oldest sister is a bookstore owner, the middle sister is, well she is a mess, and the youngest is a photographer. A nosy (handsome) reporter comes to town to do a story on their past sailing adventures- or so he says. Slowly the layers are peeled back and secrets are revealed. So it is a little bit mystery and a little bit romance. Also a study on how families stick together to cover things up and what it does to them. Great summer read.
