** spoiler alert ** Double Standard is a story about Jeff Wallace and his attraction to his new employee, Evan Hawthorne, who is almost ten years his junior, and to make matters more complicated, he knows this attraction can go nowhere due to a clause in the employee handbook. Managers and their immediate employees cannot under any circumstance fraternize. Period.

No matter how hard Jeff pleads, argues, or otherwise, with his own boss about the clause written by said boss, it is always the same answer. No. That answer doesn’t sit over well with Jeff though, simply because his own boss is doing just that with Jeff’s secretary. See the double standard there?

Lucky for Jeff, Evan has the same feelings for him. However, Evan isn’t as good at hiding how he feels for the older man, often times he’s caught staring at Jeff and is not at all ashamed. He deals with the teasing by the caddy women they work with, and even ignores big boss Kirk Morris’ snide remarks about his attraction to boss Jeff.

Well, one night the two have to work late and Evan takes things in his own hands. What follows is a steamy sex scene and a way around the double standard.
