Wicked Lies (Wicked Series, #2)
by Lisa Jackson, Nancy Bush

Wicked Lies was a fast-paced thrill ride with many random sharp turns along the way. Justice Turnbull is a disturbing character that's a great villain - showing no remorse or shred of humanity. He's hell-bent on killing all of the mysteriously related women of Siren Song, convinced they are the spawn of Satan. The bit of romance between Laura and Harrison is full of tension and longing. Their possible-new-relationship thoughts and feelings are spot-on and smile-inducing. The small amount of paranormalcy included increased the sense of mystery and excitement - this is not a paranormal book- it's a novel in a "normal" setting with a paranormal aspect, so fans of Romantic Suspense as well as Paranormal Romance will enjoy this read.
Although Wicked Lies is the sequel to Wicked Game - I went into reading it not knowing that! As I'm sure that reading these in order is wonderful, having not read the first in this series was not distracting and didn't take away from the understandability of this novel.
