Well written, very critical of senior military command and civilian leadership. Interesting material on Wolfowitz, as well as extended discussions on strategy vs. tactics and Gen. Tommy Franks' complete misunderstanding of the two. Ricks often praises Petraeus, but is very critical of the performance of Odierno's 4th ID, as well as Gen. Sanchez.
