06/11/2011 "Clarisse insisted on floating several feet above the ground, body glowing with a faint white light. Darri tried to tell herself it looked silly, but it was hard to find anything amusing. Finally her unease got the better of her. “Not to interfere with the mood you’re trying to create,” she snapped, “but could you just walk?”"
06/11/2011 "Callie merely sighed. “Assuming you have a point, could you get to it soon?”"
06/11/2011 "“You can see in the dark?” “So it seems.” Kestin smiled. “Every day I discover a new advantage to being dead.” Varis couldn’t tell if the statement was meant to be bitter or not. He chose to believe it was, because that was less disturbing."

jesse Considering what she was about to do, the prospect of looking like an idiot in front of the court shouldn’t have bothered her. Nevertheless, it did. She considered asking Kestin for help, and realized that looking like an idiot in front of him would bother her even more.

Well, that was going to be a problem.

She concentrated on moving in more or less the same direction as the prince. That was just about all she could manage; the same speed was out of her reach, and moving her feet the way he did was completely beyond the realm of possibility.
