I wanted to read something light. Something that didn’t involve thinking or concentrating about the story. I mean sure the mind does think and make up situations about the potential ending, or resolution of the conflict but I just wanted an easy read.
Dark Heart Forever follows the story of Jane, a loner by choice because of being bullied in high school. Falls for two seemingly amazing guys, Luca and Evan. Classic love triangle. She starts dating Evan but she doesn’t understand her feelings for Luca, so she keeps putting them off as friendship.
Unbeknownst to us, not really, Evan has an agenda. I mean who didn’t guess that? The guy was pretty shady. Period.
Too perfect but managed to have a past, which really didn’t make sense. Anyone who fell for him…seriously? -_-
It was weird. I’ll give it that. The ending pretty much predictable. I mean you kind of figure out guy the girl ends up with. And as much as I don’t enjoy reading love triangles, I found myself reading on. To the point where I actually finished the book.
Quite a lot like Twilight, so you all have a right to be a bit apprehensive. The second book, Dark Heart Rising is on my shelf and because I don’t leave series unfinished, I’ll be reading that soon. Also because, *smiles sheepishly* part of me wants to know what happens next.
Positive: werewolves!
