Rereading earlier Bone volumes since No. 7 came out in color recently. Out from Boneville is a great intro to the series, balancing the comic Bones and stupid, stupid rat creatures with the more ominous locust swarm and the Hooded One. There are all kinds of great details, like Rose's expressionless face-off with the dragon to the shower of petals that falls when Bone and Thorn take a bath in the lake.
