I should mention that I did not read the previous books, which apparently build the characters and lead to this book. I expect there were comments made that meant nothing to me because of this.

Overall, the book is pretty good. It started off with a few good laughs and immediately you could identify with the main character. Definitely not your typical mystery in that it is light and fluffy. There weren't any surprises and you knew what the ending was long before you reached it. While some have considered it a bad thing that it wrapped up easily and quickly, I found this to be a good thing. If there were much more to the book it would have dragged it on and you have the case of an author writing just to fill pages. It is a good, quick, engaging read as for light reading. Based on this book, I would consider reading others in the series.
