I love reading the Landover books during the summer. For some reason, it's just perfect.

It took me a few days to read Witches' Brew, mostly because I like to take my time with any of Terry Brooks's novels, but also because I went away for a few days and spent most of my time just enjoying being away. It's not at all a hard book though, and all of the Landover books are a much easier read than any of the Shannara books.

Witches' Brew is probably my second favorite in the series. I really enjoyed the demonstration of each characters' strengths -- even when standing on their own. Each had really difficult decisions to make, and I thought that their choices really showed growth in each of them. I liked seeing Nightshade play an almost maternal role as Mistaya's mentor, even though she ended up using the little girl anyway.

I can't wait to reread them, too! I still have to read the next and latest one, though.

Which one is your favorite?
