I selected this book because I was looking for something short and humorous. I figured with a title like this, I couldn't go wrong. I have to admit I was a little disappointed, and my wife found it unbearable.

Apparently McCall Smith has started several series of books, this one about a German professor who takes himself too seriously. The premise seemed good, but it just wasn't all that funny.
