"Then I drove back home to Paradise" is the last line of Steve Hamilton's wonderful Misery Bay. (no spoiler, trust me.) Paradise indeed. Not just the physical Paradise in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but some really heavenly reading.

Page turning action, characters you want to root for (or against) and most of all, the bone chilling cold of winter in the UP.
