THE MURDER OF A GIFTED RODEO GAL,PONY, WHO COMPETES ON THE BIG BULLS WITH THE MEN AND CONSISTENTLY BEATS THEM IS THE BACKDROP FOR THIS EXCELLENT NOVEL. HER FATHER AND A DISGRACED,ALCOHOLIC, EX-DETECTIVE ARE BOUND TO EACH OTHER BY THE NEED OF EACH TO SOLVE THE MURDER. THE EX-DETECTIVE HAS THE NEED TO SOLVE THE MYSTERIES OF HER FAMILY. MICHAELS TIES IT ALL TOGETHER WITH A GARLAND OF CHEROKEE ROSES.
THIS WAS A GOOD READ THAT KEPT THE PAGES TURNING.
