"Pulp" is Charles Bukwoski's last completed novel before he died in 1994. Many people argue this is his best novel, but I have to disagree. Though the book is obviously a Bukowski piece (I say this because it is full of sex, drugs and sadness), the story isn't as strong as other Bukowski novels. Often I had to stop and just comprehend everything going on, maybe it was the shock to find hints of science fiction mixed into a Bukowski novel. The writing is fantastic and interesting, and as usual for a Bukowski novel, easy to read and hard to put down.
