it was amazing

Interesting writing style, especially his dialogue. Amazing how well he could define his characters with a few choppy sentences of undirected, sloppy conversation. I loved the love story, and the lovers' use of hyberbole and verbal irony. This felt a lot like other WWI books I've read about the trenches, wounds full of schrapnel, convalescing in one hospital after another, etc.
