Although this is a fairly good series and a children's classic, I kept viewing it as a very watered down version of Lord of the Rings, not fair, I know. It is the same kind of quest -- little kid goes to destroy the evil thing that the evil wizard-person is using to rule the world in evil ways. People sacrifice themselves and the hero gets a little more mature.

I did not like it as much as I did the last time around, altough my children still love it. It is good in it's own right, but not Lewis and certainly not Tolkein.
