Yep, I see why people love this book so much. Fast-paced, a likeable strong narrative character, solid world-building and plenty of action and tension. I seriously couldn't put this down.
I also really like the internal conflict Katniss faces when she realises there's more than one game to be played, and the broader human rights issues that I assume will come more to the fore in the rest of the trilogy.
I have a stack of other books I want to read, but may have to sneak in the next two in this series in between... And how exciting is it the movie is out next year!! (Teaser here: http://tinyurl.com/3krq3u8 )
