Fast Women was a quick read. I found myself frequently confused by the relationships between the characters (who was married, who had been married, etc) but a lot of that could have been the lack of sleep I'd had in the few days I read the book. Nell never seemed to quite get it together even when she finally got mad and started taking action. Her actions seemed rash and out of her control as were her emotions through most of the book. Suze and Margie weren't much better - both living lives assigned to them by men instead of living the lives they wanted. While each of the women does make a break over the course of the book, it takes them all a long time to settle out if they ever really do. The men in the book have their own issues ranging from daddy issues to cheating to murder. The most likeable characters for me were actually Gabe's daughter and Nell's son even though they only have supporting roles.
