really liked it

I have recently read the book “Copper Sun” written by Sharon .M. Draper. I really enjoyed reading this book. The book leaves you with a mixture of feelings. If I had to give this book a rating out of 5 stars, I would give it 4.5 stars. I like how the author gives you two points of views. The author tells the story through the two main characters, Polly and Amari. This shows you how other characters are thinking in the story.
The two things I liked the most in this book was the conflicts and resolutions. The Conflicts and resolutions were the most interesting and heart racing parts of the book. An Example of this is when the master’s wife Ms. Isabelle Derby had her baby and the baby came out black. That whole chapter was heart racing because no one knew what to do and they all knew Mr. Derby would be mad and try to kill Ms. Isabelle Derby. The resolution to this conflict was, Mr. Derby shooting and killing the slave “Noah” (The slave that got her pregnant) and the black baby. Another good conflict in this story is when Amari, Tidbit, And Polly Runaway after Dr. Hoshkins let them because he hates to sell slaves. The resolution to this conflict was Amari, Tidbit, And Polly finding freedom by going south and finding Fort Mose after running into many other problems along the way.
The things they didn’t like in this book were the injustices. The Injustices shows you how unfair and cruel people were to black people. An example of an injustice is when the people comes into the ewe village then kills all the elders and takes away the children. This is an example of an injustice because no one should be able to come into someone else’s land and start killing people and kidnapping children. Another example of an injustice in this book is when the guards on the ships were raping the African women while they were shipping them over to the Carolinas. This is an example of an injustice because women shouldn’t be forced to do things they do not want to do.
I would recommend this book to family and friends. This book tells you a lot about slavery, and how they treated the africans.

Mr. Meade excellent review! I'd consider hiding some of the spoilers though...
