I probably liked this a little more than I should because I love mollusks and have a love/hate relationship with New York. I'd say the link between NYC history and oysters isn't rock solid, but it is interesting to see how they weave in and out of each other. There's a lot of really interesting information on both history and oysters. Mostly I just can't get over how weird it is to think about eating things that came out of the Hudson River estuary. Cognitive dissonance like whoa.
