One For The Money by Janet Evanovich

Out of work, out of money, and about to lose her car, Stephanie Plum turns to her cousin Vinnie for a job as a recovery agent for those that have skipped out on their bail. Her target could not be sweeter, smooth talker and hormone magnet ex-vice cop Joe Morelli. Joe has been accused of murder and is eluding capture, but Stephanie plans to outwit him, she still has not forgotten about the two other times he dazzled her when she was younger, still holding a grudge? Well maybe.

In order to get him though she is taken under the wings of mysterious agent Ranger, who is Mr. Higgins to her Eliza Doolittle. Making a few mistakes along the way, Stephanie in all her efforts has also caught the eye of prizefighter Benito Ramirez who is vile to say the least and plans to do her harm if he catches her. In order to catch Joe and keep Benito at a distance, Stephanie has to be at the top of her game, since she has never done this before, the bar is not too high but in order to stay alive she will have to use everything she has learned so far.

A hilarious series. Stephanie is quirky and although she is broke, she has her priorities of what she needs to be happy. The chemistry between her and Joe is fantastic, and I have a soft spot for Ranger, hope he is in more of the series.

I finished this last night, really a fun read. Not sure why I was never tempted to read before. The trailer for the movie looks hilarious.

Stacia ~ Mistress of Mediocrity I loved the movie trailer too. The shower scene made me happy because I liked that scene in the book.

That was a great scene, I hope they have a few of the other ones that really captured the essence of the book.
